Sarah DiPerna, Psy.D.

Sarah DiPerna, Psy.D., ACHT is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida. Sarah has worked in the field of Mental Health since 1992. She received her Masters in Psychology in 1997,  and her Doctoral degree in 2001, both from Nova Southeastern University. Since  2002 Sarah has been trained in Heart-Centered Therapies with the Wellness Institute, in Seattle, Washington. Sarah is certified as a Master Clinical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy Trainer and as a Leader for Personal Transformation Intensive™ groups. Sarah is also a member of American Psychological  Association, Heart-Centered Therapies Association, and a member of the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association. Sarah is an Internationally Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, Level 2 Reiki Practitioner and RoHun Intern.
 
Sarah currently has a private practice in Pompano Beach where she works with individuals and couples with a variety of issues. These include relationship /intimacy  issues, history of trauma, grief, stress/anxiety management, mood disorders,  addictions, mind-body issues and various phase of life transitions. In addition  to couples and individual work, she also facilitates Personal Transformation  Intensive™ (PTI) Groups for her clients. PTI groups are held in a weekend retreat  format that offers Chakra Meditation, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Energetic Psychodrama, and Breathwork within its structure.
 
Sarah is also currently a teacher and supervisor for the Wellness Institute. In this capacity she teaches a 60-hour Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy™ certification class, as well as the Advanced 2-year Internship training program for Masters and Doctoral level therapists.  The Internship program offers advanced instruction in the provision of Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, in addition to instruction in the facilitation of Breathwork, Energetic  Psychodrama, and Heart-Centered Meditation.
 
Sarah has also worked extensively with severely mentally disturbed children and adolescents in mental health agencies, both as a  therapist, training supervisor for psychology doctoral students, and also as an administrator. Sarah utilizes a holistic approach to facilitating the healing process and is committed to assisting her clients and students to go  within on their paths to creating positive change and growth in their lives.
 
In addition to being a Licensed Psychologist, Sarah is also certified as a Kundalni Yoga teacher, taught in the tradition of Yogi Bhajan. She has been practicing Kundalini Yoga since 2008 and has completed both the 220-hour Level One Teacher Training as well as a 60 hour  module of Level Two instruction. Sarah received her training from Deva Kaur in Coral Springs, Florida. Sarah currently teaches weekly Kundalini Yoga classes  in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
